Honor Guard!

LtC ROBERT BEEVERS5/25/1927 - 5/17/2009
Robert served as a Deputy Sheriff for 30 years in Orange County, Ca., and continued his career as a policeman in Morro Bay, CA.

In retirement, he continued his community service by co-founding Civil Air Patrol Squadron 103, San Luis Obispo in 1983, where he attained the rank of Lt. Col.

LtC Beevers joined CAP as a cadet during WWII. He served as Squadron Commander, active in Emergency Services as a Pilot, Observer, Ground Team, and UDF. He arranged Sq 103’s current facilities at Camp San Luis Obispo.

“Col Bob” was active in Recruiting and promoting CAP everywhere he went…

He recruited (Col) Larry Myrick… who became Sq 103 Commander, Central Coast Grp CC, CAWG CC (twice) and is now our Pacific Region Commander.

His support of youth was legendary. He founded the 1st Police Explorer post in the nation in Orange County and was always there to support SQ 103 CAP Cadets in Wing schools, encampments, and activities.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations, to be used as a memorial fund to help cadets, be made to:
