On the road again!!!

Well, I am almost packed and the car is waiting to be filled. I will leave Arizona  on Thursday morning and arrive at my destination on Friday morning. I will spend Thursday evening with my Aunt in Taft,Ca. I will miss my grandson and family, and friends. But, I will survive the summer more readily.

I am packing to move, so no stitching or computer for the next week or so. Not sure when the internet will be turned on so, may be off line for a while.

Birth Sampler for a nephew. Just like always he will be 2 this month. I seem to take 2 years every time.

I finished two exchanges. One is already made up and packaged to be mailed tomorrow. The other, the stitching is done and now to make it up and get it ready to go. I will post pics when they arrive at their destinations.

Valentine Swap

This is what I sent to Kadra. I also included a pouch, chocolate and some other things. I forgot to take a picture of the other things. Such is life.  edit: I was able to get a pic of all the items off  Kadra's blog. I designed the heart to be simple and remind me of an old fashioned valentine. I had to include the blue bird of happiness. The "beads" are pins for counting and the Pearl is a large pin that I use for frogging.

These are the goodies I received from Jill. The chocolate was delish. 

This is the most delicate stitching I have seen in a long time. She made an envelope of  felt and then made a really cute pin cushion to put inside. I also found a nice envelope with three charms. Two fairies and a dragon. All my favorites.

Need more time!!!

Haven't had any time to stitch since Tuesday. I have been taking care of my 3yr old grandson and he is fun but tiring my out. All I want to do after my son gets home is crash. Then I am up early to start all over again. My DIL will be off starting tomorrow and I hope to have this weekend to stitch. Wish me luck.

Dragon Roll Part 2

This is the second start on Dragon Roll.
I used a piece of fabric that was too small.
This one is in Caron Waterlilies Silk and Krenik Silk Mori
I prefer the Caron silk. I am waiting for the 3rd part and then will add the beads.

This is what I was working on this last weekend. I didn't get much done as I ended up taking care of the Grandson both days. I have developed a cold so I am somewhat miserable. I am starting over on the dragon as well as I placed it on the fabric wrong and ran out of room on the right side. I won't be able to finish him with the full pattern, but, I will make him into something else.

Had to take it out of the jar. I am using an old canning jar and it is faceted and you can't see through it.
I have been sick most of the year so far and I don't have much to show. Most of this is from exchanges and I can't show pics yet. Hopefully I will have more to show next month.
