Haven't blogged in forever!! Still busy helping raise my grandson, who is now 13! I am also helping take care of my aunt who is 87. 

Got my right knee replaced last October. Doing well and going strong.

Longtime away!

It has been a rough year. My eldest son's relationship broke up and he is now living with me, along with his 8yr old son.

Dad passed away in April and it has been difficult to say the least. He was living with us and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Monday and was gone by Thursday.

Family came together and celebrated his life.

HE DID IT AGAIN!!!!

My oldest just broke his arm, again. Same arm, this will be the 4th time!  Can we say CLUMSY!!

Myabsence

I haven't done much in the way of stitching. Been busy taking care of dad and my grandson. Dad has had some medical issues and has kept us busy with doctor's and hospital stays. Cayden's mom has gone back to work and I am the babysitter. He is a rambunctious and all boy!!!

Life Update!

I have been off line for quite a while. Dad has had two kidney stone surgeries in two months. It has taken a toll on him. I have been busy with nursing and doctors appts. Hopefully it will all turn out well and I can get some more stitching done. The two pieces I put up earlier are the only things I have gotten done in 4 months. I have others waiting in the wings and need to get started on Christmas as well.

The Family that was able to gather for his birthday. My Sister and her husband from Texas and my sister-in-law and her three children and my oldest and his wife.

We also had 3 great grand children here.

A great time was had by all!!!
They have gone home now and Dad and I are finally rested and the routine is back to normal.

Prayers!!

The news out of South Carolina is devastating to say the least. Please keep all of the people killed and their families in your prayers during these dark times.

Moving Update!!!

Finally have dad settled in and unpacked. Now it is my turn to unpack. I don't mind taking my time, he on the other hand was impatient to say the least. Have put about 100 stitches in to a piece and that is about all. Have my table set-up though and getting organized. Hopefully before the end of June I will have something to show for my efforts.

Move Accomplished!!!

I am now in Arizona. Got here on sunday and am slowly trying to get the house in order. Dad is really happy that I have finally arrived. The house is a nice one so I am sure we will be happy here. After hurting my ribs last week, it is hard to get things done. Still sore!! Weather has been decent, but, I know that the heat is coming!! Bear with me as I get settled, my stitching will be the last thing to come out of boxes.

Another Moving Update!

It is all in the storage unit. I will be sleeping on the couch for the next couple of nights. Just me and my personal things left here at the house. Said good bye to my youngest as he is leaving for a men's weekend tomorrow early!!  Truck and trailer are on schedule. So come sunday morning early I am off to Arizona. Should be back online come Monday afternoon if all goes well.

Moving Update!!

Well, finally found an apartment and got the lease signed. Packing almost done and that is a good thing. The truck and trailer are arriving next sat morning. I am not a fan of moving but this one has been more organized than the last couple of times. Taking everything out of storage and finally going to use my kitchen and family heirlooms in a home. Will post again when we have internet installed.

Moving update!

Well, I have just about finished packing. Just a few more tubs from my bedroom/craft room and I will be ready for the truck on the 1st of May. Dad hasn't found a place for us yet but I am confident that he will  or I will when I get there. Youngest son helped get the storage unit ready for travel and everything is repacked and organized.

Life Changing Events

I am now in the process of packing my things and heading back to Arizona. I spent last weekend there packing my father and moving him from the desert into Lake Havasu City to stay with friends until I can get there and we will get a place together. He is 84 and needs help with things. I really don't like Arizona during the summer but such is life. Dad won't come back to California so I am going to AZ. I won't be on the computer as often and since I don't post that often anyway I am sure you won't miss me to much. I have put the stitching away and have started packing. It will take a while to do it right. I will still follow all of my friends and be thinking of you. Until next time.
